Tight timetable requires 3-straight readings of interim charter amendment bill

President of the National Legislative Assembly (NLA) Pornpetch Vichitcholchai Thursday clarified Friday’s deliberation on the 2014 interim charter must be carried out in three consecutive readings because of tight timetable.

Pornpetch said the amendment must be completed in 15 days and the deliberation today would like be timeconsuming because in the first and the last readings, each member must be called upon and pronounced their vote vocally.
He expected the amendment could be finalised Friday, but if not, they would hold another meeting Saturday.
