Mercury falls to 4 Celsius degree on Doi Inthanon

The temperature atop Doi Inthanon mountain dropped to 4 Celsius degree Wednesday morning, prompting the area to be covered with white frozen dew, the Doi Inthanon park chief said.
Rung Hiranwong, chief of the Doi Inthanon National Park, said the temperature at the trekking areas for tourists to study the nature dropped to about six Celsius degree.
He said good weather Wednesday morning also allowed tourist to be treated with sea of mist.
He said 2,653 Thai tourists and 853 foreign tourists visited the park on Tuesday.
