Prayut to study media laws of democratic countries

Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha said Monday that he will study media laws of democratic nations to see how they have controlled the media’s quality.
Prayut said he wanted to have a new law to control the media because the media organizations could not control and rule their members to prevent distortion of information.
“If they don’t have such a law, we won’t have. But if any country has it, we will consider whether we should have it,” Prayut said.
