Krungthai-AXA premiums up

Krungthai-AXA Life Insurance saw a marginal increase in total premiums in 2016 to Bt55.8 billion against Bt54.74 billion in 2015.

First-year premiums last year increased slightly to Bt14.9 billion from Bt14.87 billion year on year, thanks to the protection and health insurance plans.
Total invested assets were Bt192.7 billion with the investment portfolio mix remaining relatively stable: 6 per cent in equities, 85 per cent in bonds, 4 per cent in property funds, 1 per cent in short-term deposits, and 4 per cent in others. Investment returns were in line with KTAXA’s expectations despite the low interest rate environment and challenging year.
David Korunić, chief executive officer, said: “In 2017, we will continue our focus and commitment towards being a customer-centric organisation with the vision to empower people to live a better life. We plan to devote further resources towards ‘customer centricity’ by improving customer segmentation and campaign management ultimately leading to improved customer satisfaction and increased profitability.”
Meanwhile, the company will continue to keep its strategic focus on the Protection and Health business, and expand and develop our investment products. Furthermore, it has gradually transformed and developed the existing operations and communications processes into the digital ecosystem.
“We believe that technology innovation and advancements are driving all aspects of the business, not only the product division,” he said.
