Baht’s strengthening trend about to reverse: Maybank Kim Eng

The baht is set to weaken on foreign capital outflows from the stock and bond markets, forecasts Maybank Kim Eng Securities (Thailand).
The Thai currency has gained nearly 2 per cent against the US dollar since the beginning of this year. Maybank Kim Eng expects a reversal of that trend this month because of tightening by the US Federal Reserve.
