Pheu Thai member to oppose tax summons to Thaksin

A Pheu Thai Party member has come out in open opposition to the government move to collect back taxes from former premier Thaksin Shinawatra.

The Revenue Department, on Monday, is expected to issue a tax summons claiming back taxes in excess of Bt10 billion.
Pheu Thai member Ruangkrai Likijwatana will today go to the Revenue Department to petition tax officials against issuing the tax summons.
The controversy over Thaksin's tax liability is a fallout of his sale of Shin Corporation shares in 2006.
