He said the heads of the media associations expressed support for the ongoing reconciliation building and showed that the country was facing some issues.
Kongcheep said the group pointed out that the problem in the country was partly due to the fact that some political powers and capitalists had interfered with the media.
Because of this, the media said it was necessary that serious law enforcement was necessary to tackle the issue, he said.
The media representatives, however, maintained their opposition to the new media regulation, which they feel will allow political interference and controls, rather than protect against them.
