Fares to rise to Bt15 on two BTS routes

Fares on two BTS routes are to be increased from Bt10 to Bt15, a senior Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) official said on Friday.
Suthon Anakul, deputy of the BMA's Traffic and Transportation Department, said the new Bt15 fare will cover the Sukhumvit-Yai-Bang Wong section and the Yai-Bang Wa section of the Silom route.
He said the BMA has to increase the fare to cover the management cost of mass transportation.
He said the BMA is shouldering the Bt600 million cost for mass transport management.
