NCPO aims to boost public awareness of new charter

In a move to engage the public in current political arena, the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) on Tuesday resolved to build up public awareness and knowledge on the new charter.

NCPO deputy spokesperson Colonel Sirichan Ngathong said the NCPO also aims to give updates on the government’s administration performance. The awareness-building is part of a process in line with the junta’s road map to democracy, she said.
Other bodies under the “five rivers of power”, such as the government, the National Legislative Assembly, and the National Reform Steering Assembly, would work with the NCPO in building awareness on the new charter and on the government's work, she added.
