The Cabinet on Tuesday is slated to consider a proposal to increase the salaries of hundreds of government officials told to help the junta perform its work.

At least 721 officials are reportedly in line for a wage rise.
This special treatment occurred twice after the 2006 coup, when over 400 officials who helped the work of the Council of National Security received salary increases.
