TJA spokesperson Pratchayachai Duchthuyawatra said the organisation would invite members of the media and public to change their Facebook profiles to the newly designed “Stop Registering the Media” slogan on the World's Press Freedom Day on May 3.
T-shirts printed with the same slogan will also be distributed to members of the media to show their solidarity against the bill, he said.
A forum titled “Press Freedom and the Country’s Future” will also be organised for discussions on the issue.
The TJA will also set its press-freedom strategies in the short and long term and invite the public to join it in opposing the bill.
It would also come up with alternative proposals for media regulation that it deems appropriate, said Pratchayachai.
