Cabinet to deliberate on Bt2.9 trillion budget bill

The Cabinet will on Tuesday deliberate on a Bt2.9 trillion budget bill for the 2018 fiscal year that will set a budget deficit of Bt450 billion, Budget Bureau director Somsak Choteratanasiri said.
If approved, the bill will be sent to the National Legislative Assembly immediately, the director added.
The 2018 budget bill will set less projected spending than the 2017 budget’s Bt2.923 trillion in spending and Bt552 billion deficit.
