Towards the end of 2016, there were 68 Goodyear Autocare retail stores in Thailand. Expansion of these outlets will continue in 2017 as they evolve into one-stop shops with comprehensive tire and automotive services, the company said.
All of these distribution centres are staffed by qualified and well-trained technical experts, who are equipped to provide the highest levels of customer service and advice to consumers, as they continue to raise the overall standards in the industry, the company said.
Goodyear Thailand’s growing aviation business remains a strong contributor to the company’s positive business and financial performance, it added.
As the company expands its footprint in this area, it aligns with expectations that the global aviation fleet is expected to increase by 100 per cent over the next 20 years with the fastest growth occurring in the Asia Pacific region, the Goodyear said.
The company said Goodyear Thailand had received all required Board of Investment support for its project, which was announced in 2016, to increase production of radial aviation tires at its existing factory in Pathum Thani province.
