Portugal wins Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev

KIEV - Portugal won the Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev for the first time early Sunday with its mournful ballad "Amar Pelos Dois" scoring a crushing victory.

The song performed by Salvador Sobral, who has a serious heart condition, won top marks both from the televoters and the countries' professional juries.
