Cambodian worker killed in Chon Buri road accident

A Cambodian motorcyclist died after being hit by a pickup truck in Chon Buri province late on Sunday night.

Police said the accident happened at about 10pm on Soi Nong Jub Tao in tambon Nathien in Chon Buri’s Sattahib district.
Pol Captain Pongsawat Mormungkhun said the Cambodian could not be unidentified because he was not carrying ID but he appeared to be aged about 30.
Pongsawat said the truck was driven by Charan Panluang, 62, a former village headman.
Charan told police the part of the soi where the accident occurred was dark and he did not see the motorcycle, which had a cart attached to him, until it was too late and he rear-ended it.
