Woman injured in Chiang Mai home explosion

A woman was slightly injured when what police suspect was a homemade bomb exploded in her Chiang Mai house late Monday night, police said.
Pol Captain Sarakorn Chanmanon, an officer on duty at Saraphee District Police Station, said he learned of the explosion at 11.50pm.
He said Tippawan Chuandee, 30, was slightly injured.
He said Tippawan’s father told police he was about to wash a drinking glass with something inside it but she accidentally hit him, causing the glass to be dropped and the explosion to occur.
Sarakorn said police believed it was a small homemade bomb.
The investigation is continuing, he said.
