Small bomb explodes in Narathiwat

A small bomb exploded in front of a used-clothes shop in Narathiwat’s Rangae district on Wednesday morning but nobody was injured, police said.
Pol Colonel Surapong Chatsut, commander of the Rangae Police Station, said the bomb exploded at 8.30am on Thessaban 2 Road in Tambon Tanyongmus.
Police and troops checked the area to ensure that insurgents hadn’t hidden a second bomb to ambush officials when they arrived to inspect the scene.
Surapong said the bomb was a small one without shrapnel hence it was possibly launched by a group of teenagers to create a panic situation.
