Trang residents told to prepare for evacuations in case of flash floods

Residents in Trang have been told by acting governor Phakphum Intharasuwan to prepare for evacuations in case their areas are hit by flash flooding from Friday to Sunday.
He said a southwest monsoon could trigger torrential rains during the period and might cause flash flooding.
The deputy governor said district offices and other government agencies concerned were told to be prepared to evacuate people if the rains reach 90mm over 24 hours.
