Fire destroys Phuket furniture plant, house

Pol Captain Natthathee Pichitchainimet, deputy inspector of Thalang police station, was alerted about the fire on Soi Pa Klong Cheep at 2am.
When five fire engines arrived at the scene, they found the entire plant was on fire and the blaze had spread to an adjacent house.
Firefighters took about an hour to control the blaze.
The furniture plant belongs to Suparp Wilaiwong, 49, who stayed in another house nearby. After noticing the fire, he sought help from the village head. The damaged house is owned by Chon Sae-Yong, 58.
Police suspected that the fire was started by an electrical short circuit.
No one was injured in the blaze.
