Flash floods hit three Kalasin villages

Hours of torrential rain caused a dyke in Kamphaeng Phet province to overflow and inundate three villages in Kong Lan district on Sunday night.
The floods hit Ban Nong Nam Khoon, Ban Klong Khayaeng and Ban Mor Makha in tambon Sakngam, with the water receding early Monday morning.
However farmland was still underwater.
Officers from the tambon police station helped villagers move belongings to higher ground.
There was more rain on Monday morning, so authorities are on alert to the possibility of more flooding.
