Police raided four locations in Mueang Phuket on Tuesday night where illegal betting on overseas football matches was taking place.

Thirty people were arrested, including staff members at the hosting establishments.
One was a restaurant formerly known as the Gaga Club, which had been shut down earlier because of gambling activity. Police on Tuesday found bets still being made in a large hall at the back of the building.
Also raided was a nearby shop called Kor Cha, which had a large room in the rear where police discovered punters placing bets and staff logging the action on computers.
