Nakhon Sawan flash flood warning

The Nakhon Sawan Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office on Tuesday warned people in the province to brace for possible flash floods because of forecast heavy rain from Tuesday until Saturday.

The Meteorological Department said an active low pressure cell, downgraded from tropical storm Pakhar, is is upper Vietnam.
It is forecast the cell and a monsoon trough across lower North, upper Central and Northeast Thailand, as well as a southwest monsoon over the Andaman sea, will result in heavy rain in many parts of the country, including Nakhon Sawan province.
Upstream water is rising in the main rivers that run through Nakhon Sawan.
Heavy rain over the Khao Phra and Khao Sung mountains caused canals in Nong Bua district to overflow and flood villages in tambon Huay Thua Nua on Tuesday morning.
