Overflowing canal inundates Phitsanulok school

A school in Phitsanulok province’s None Maprang district was closed on Friday after being inundated by an overflowing canal late Thursday night.
It was the seventh time this year that the Nam Pad Canal had overflown and flooded the Ban Nam Pad School in Tambon Chomphu, school director Captain Ket Tuankrua said.
He said the canal started overflowing at 11pm following heavy downpour. The water level was about one metre high. The water receded in the morning but the school had to be closed for a day for major cleaning work.
