Small earthquake hits Lamphun

A minor earthquake hit Lamphun’s Muang district on Sunday morning, frightening some locals.
The seismic shake took place about 7.39am, with the Meteorological Department’s earthquake monitoring centre confirming that it had a magnitude of 3.1.
Local people said they felt their homes shake for about two seconds. Initially, they were very worried because they did not know what had happened.
The quake was even felt by some people living in nearby Chiang Mai.
