Elderly man killed in hit-and-run case

A man, 72, was killed in a hit-and-run case in Loei province after, police believe, his car fell by the roadside and he came out to ask for help on Wednesday’s night.
The victim was identified as Chan Thana, a resident of Moo 1 village in Tambon Khokyai, in Tha Li district.
Police were alerted to the accident at 8pm.
Police found Chan’s car fallen by the roadside while his body was on the road. His right leg was almost torn off.
Police believe the man had come out of his car and sought help but a speeding vehicle had possibly hit him as the area was dark.
