An estimated 1,100 houses were flooded in Nakhon Sawan on Thursday morning after the Chao Phraya River breached its banks.

Officials in Krokphra district quickly alerted residents of five villages to move belongings to upper levels.
The rain-bloated river topped sandbag flood levees, which authorities said could not now be strengthened.
Floodwater levels varied from 30 to 80 centimetres and roads were rendered impassable.
