A long line of mourners formed as people came to pay final tribute to the late King at the replica of the Royal Crematorium at the King Rama I Monument at the Memorial Bridge.
People began arriving early in the morning and by noon the line was three kilometres long and ended at Wat Liab.
Volunteers were on hand to help mourners cope with the long wait.
