Nakhon Phanom surveys villagers' need for winter clothing

The Nakhon Phanom governor on Tuesday told local administrations in all 12 districts of the northeastern province to survey how many villagers need winter clothing after the temperature dropped by one to two degrees celsius.

Local officials will carry out the survey so that jackets and blankets can be distributed to villagers in need.
The Meteorological office in the province reported that the temperature in Nakhon Phanom ranged from 18C to 20C on Tuesday morning.
At that temperature people in four districts along the Mekong River - That Phanom, Mueang, Tha Uthane and Ban Paeng - suffered from the cold spell because of gusty winds along the river.
In most villages, people gathered early in the morning to light fires to keep warm.
