72-year-old farmer hangs himself after complaining of being tired

A 72-year-old farmer was found hanged in the community hall of his village in Buri Ram on Wednesday morning after he had complained to his daughter that he felt tired.
The body of Chan Kerum was found hanging by his sarong from a beam in the community hall in Tambon Lak Khet’s Ban Lak Khet village in Buri Ram’s Muang district.
Local villagers coming to the area to dry rice on the cement near the hall spotted the body. There were no signs that Chan had been attacked.
His daughter, Chaliew Kerum, 53, told police that she and her father had dried their rice on the ground on Tuesday and when they retrieved the crop, her father complained that he felt tired.
