Toon and his group began the first 19.7 kilometres lap at 2.15am after a two-day rest.
He ran from the highway office in Chainat's Mueang district to an intersection that straddles Uthai Thani and Nakhon Sawan. He reached the old bus terminal at the Uthai Thani intersection at 5am.
About 1,000 supporters waited for Toon at the end of the first lap.
He appeared fresh when he started in cool weather.
People waited to support Toon at established locations along the route as they did not want to disrupt his run.
Supporters gave Toon pomelo and banknotes attached to sticks. Toon smiled happily and raised the pomelo over his head and thanked the people for getting up so early to support him.
Toon started his second lap at 6.30am, running for 15 kilometres to a NGV station in Nakhon Sawan's Phuyuaha Khiri district.
He is scheduled to start the third lap at 3pm at the 4th Infantry Regiment in Nakhon Sawan's Mueang district and is due to start the fourth lap at 6pm to the Susco petrol station in Tambon Nong Krod in Mueang district.
His team said Toon plans to start his run at 2am each day and cover 60 kilometres to compensate for the time lost during his rest days.
