Bangkok and the upper areas of Thailand will see temperatures further drop by three to five degrees Celsius from Tuesday to Thursday, the Meteorological Department said on Monday.
In its 11am warning of a deepening cold spell, the department said a strong high-pressure system extending from China to cover upper Thailand has resulted in cold spells and strong winds in many parts of the country, including the Bangkok area.
People should brace themselves for the change in weather, the department warned.
