Volunteer ranger killed by multiple shots in Pattani

A ranger was shot dead in front of his home in Pattani province on Saturday night.
Paisan Yalae, 27, sustained more than six gunshot wounds in a deadly ambush by several gunmen.
The killers then stole his gun and a bulletproof vest from his pickup.
Police are investigating whether Paisan’s killing is related to the ongoing unrest in the deep South or any personal conflict. Paisan’s parents and elder brother were also killed during the past two years.
Police said that several gunmen opened fire on him after he parked his pickup, before then opening his pickup door to deliver two more shots to his hid. They fled the scene after taking his gun and bulletproof vest.
