Truck reverses into ditch at Karon Beach, blocking traffic

Traffic was closed between Patong and Karon Beach in Phuket yesterday as police and emergency responders tried to clear a nearly-overturned container lorry at the bottom of the hill between the Novotel Karon and Centara Beach resort.
Police were expecting it to take at least a couple of hours to clear for traffic.
The driver of the lorry reportedly had reversed into a ditch at the bottom of the hill.
