Fire damages plastic sheet factory in Nakhon Pathom
A plastic sheet factory in Nakhon Pathom's Kamphaeng Saen distirct was engulfed in a fire that caused about Bt20 million damage early on Monday.
Fire fighters took an hour to control the blaze at the Smart Plast Products building after the fire broke out at 2am.
Factory owner Chalermchai Wasinsombat said night-shift workers were making polyethylene sheets for mattresses when a plastic injection moulding head caught fire and quickly spread.
The blaze damaged the building, plastic-making machines and PE sheets used for making mattresses, Chalermchai said.
