Cache of southbound meth, ‘ice’ found in Samut Sakhon

Police arrested two men and a woman in a rented room in Samut Sakhon late Sunday night and seized 23.5 kilograms of crystal meth (“ice”) and more than 178,000 methamphetamine pills.
Acting on tips-off, police raided the room at a National Housing Authority project in Tambon Suan Luang, Krathumban district at 11pm.
They arrested Namchai Sae-tia, 43, and Channanya Boonlert, 20, both of Suphan Buri, and Panya Sae-sim, 43, from Bangkok’s Bang Khunthian district.
Namchai said a man had hired them to pick up the drugs in Nonthaburi and keep them until they could be smuggled to the deep South.
He said they’d done it three times previously.
