Troops, officials help Phayao families after storms
Troops and provincial officials rushed to help 270 families whose houses were damaged by thunderstorms in Phayao on Tuesday evening.
The houses are in eight villages of Tambon Phrathat King Kaew in Chun district.
At about 9am on Wednesday, Maj-General Sayan Muangsri, commander of the 34th Army Circle, and Chun district chief Panya Thewaboon led troops and officials to visit the affected families.
They helped the villagers fix their damaged roofs with tiles provided by the authorities.
