Unidentified man missing after fall from Taksin Bridge
An unidentified man disappeared into the Chao Phraya River after he fell from Taksin Bridge on Tuesday morning.
A passenger-boat skipper, who was parking his vessel on the Thon Buri side under the bridge, heard a man crying out as he plunged from the bridge and turned to look to see the man disappearing into the water at 10am.
Unable to help the man in time, he called the police.
Scuba divers from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation were sent to the scene, but failed to locate a body as the tide was strong and there were many boats passing the spot where the man had entered the water.
