Watch stage shows to celebrate the King’s birthday

The public are invited to watch traditional Thai stage performances at the National Theatre in Bangkok on the afternoon of July 24-25 as part of the celebrations of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn’s 66th birthday anniversary.

The shows, put together by the Fine Arts Department’s Office of Performing Arts and the Bundit Pattanasilpa Institute, will run from 2pm onward. 
The July 24 lineup is: the “Patthavisai” dance of benediction; the “Drum Fest of the Four Regions” show; the “Rabeng” ancient court performance, and the Khon masked dance drama titled “Nom Pli Kai Tawai Phakdee”.

The July 25 lineup is: the “Patthavisai” dance of benediction; a mini-concert by the National Symphony Orchestra with dance performances by the Office of Performing Arts and the Bunditpatanasilpa Institute; the “Moang Kroom” and “Kula Tee Mai” ancient court performances; and the Khon masked dance drama titled “The Battle with Virunya-Champang”.
