Nikorn said his party would start making preparations to contest the upcoming election now that the NCPO chief, Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, has relaxed the political ban.
An Article 44 order relaxing parts of the previous the junta ruling was issued on Friday, after the promulgation of the last two organic laws on Wednesday.
Nikorn said the party’s current executive board would convene a meeting on September 28 to prepare for the caucus on October 5.
He said the party would also make other preparations as required by the political party law, such as setting up party branches, appointing provincial party representatives as well as accepting new members and raising the party’s fund.
