Smartphones, cash stolen from football players at National Games in Chiang Rai

Six smartphones and Bt31,000 in cash were stolen on Wednesday when thieves broke into the dressing room of a football team taking part in the 46th National Games in Chiang Rai.

Six football players from Samut Songkram province filed a complaint with Muang Chiang Rai police on Wednesday night that their room at the Thessaban 6 School had been broken into.
They said they returned from a football match to find that their room was ransacked and a Samsung Galaxy Note 9, an iPhone 7, a Samsung Galaxy J7 and three OPPO phones were stolen along with the cash.
Police later checked signals of the stolen mobile phones and found that three of the handsets had been discarded in a field near a hotel in Tambon Wiang of Muang district. They are continuing their investigation.
