Finless porpoise found dead on Rayong beach

The carcass of a finless porpoise was found on Mae Pim Beach in Rayong's Klaeng district on Thursday morning.
A garbage collector found the carcass in front of the Grand Bull Hotel in Moo 3 village in Tambon Kram.
Weerapong Wejprasit, a veterinarian at the Eastern Coast Marine Resources Research and Development Centre, said the carcass was a female finless porpoise, about 145cm long and weighing about 30kg.
Weerapong said the porpoise died at least a week ago. It had no sign of injury so the carcass was sent for a postmortem at the centre.
