Drug-suppression police arrested three suspects in Songkhla and seized 178,800 methamphetamine pills and 1.09 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine from them, a deputy national police chief said on Tuesday.

Pol General Chalermkiat Srivorakan, deputy commissioner-general of the Royal Thai Police, held a press conference at the Narcotics Suppression Bureau to announce the arrest of Kiartphibal Noonsong, 28, Anawin Boonthep, 50, and Chamascha Tohmad, 24.

Following a tip-off, police followed and arrested Kiartphibal in Songkhla’s Mueang district, and found photos of meth pills in his phone.
He told police that Anawin was keeping the drugs at an apartment in the district’s Tambon Bor Yang, for him to distribute later.
Police searched the room and found 170,800 meth pills and 1.09kg of crystal meth, or “ice”.
