Hua Lamphong Railway Station shined up
State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has the cleaners working overtime at Bangkok’s main railway terminus, Hua Lamphong Station, out of concern over the Covid-19 virus.
A hive of people on the move, both Thais and foreigners, the station is being sprayed with disinfectant inside, with extra attention paid to the most frequently touched surfaces, such as ticket offices, passenger seats and washrooms.
The trains are also sprayed before every departure, with the focus on handrails and seating.
Travellers will likely feel more confident seeing station and train staff wearing facemasks at all times while on duty.
