Bangkok rolls out mobile Covid testing unit

A mobile Covid-19 testing unit began roaming Bangkok on Wednesday (April 15) to screen members of the public for the virus. The unit is being run by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) in collaboration with the popular Mor Lab Panda Facebook page run by medical technologist Parkpoom Dejhutsadin.

Medics attached to the unit will take samples from people by swab, which will then be sent to the laboratory at Bangkok’s Vajira Hospital to be tested.
Bangkok Governor Aswin Kwanmuang said the BMA will focus on the capital’s downtown area on Wednesday before crossing the river to visit Krungthonburi North and South on Thursday and Bangkok's eastern suburbs on Friday.
It will be in northern and southern Bangkok on Saturday, April 18.
