The baht is expected to move between 32.25 and 32.45 per US dollar, said Jitipol Puksamatanan, SCB Securities senior market strategist.
On Thursday night, the S&P 500 fell by 0.1 per cent, since the development of a cure for Covid-19 has not been successful.
The Euro Stoxx 600 rose 0.9 per cent, after EU representatives agreed on measures to sustain the economy.
In the US, the initial jobless claims increased by 4.4 million positions, and total unemployed workers were around 26.5 million, or 16 per cent of the US workforce, in five weeks.
Financial and economic measures weakened the euro, compared to the dollar, while other main currencies strengthened.
The bond yields in high-risk countries in Europe decreased by 5 to 15 basis points. This would be a positive factor for the euro in the future, the strategist added.
At the same time, the baht has moved in a narrow range, although it has been supported by the return of foreign investment in the bond market.
In the next phase, the strategist advised investors to monitor the direction of investment worldwide. The baht would weaken in this quarter if those investors are concerned about the global economic situation.
