Some 270 foreign tourists stranded on Phi Phi Island were screened for Covid-19 by Krabi provincial authorities on Monday (April 27).

Deputy Krabi governor Somkuan Kanngern, who led the screening team, said the effort was part of proactive measures to curb transmissions. The team also met with islanders and local business operators to evaluate possible risks should restrictions be lifted in Krabi.
