King grants biosafety vehicles for Covid-19 tests in Rayong
A source in Rayong province reported on Tuesday (July 14) that His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn has granted three biosafety vehicles to public health officials in the province to collect samples from people who visited Passione department store in Muang district on July 10.
The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration said earlier on Tuesday that 394 people were at risk of contracting Covid-19 after an Egyptian military personnel was found infected after he and his group had visited the shopping mall, as per data collected via the ThaiChana platform.
Meanwhile, several residents arrived to provide saliva samples for a preliminary Covid-19 test at the biosafety mobile unit.
One member of the unit’s staff said they were only collecting samples from people who had visited the mall on July 10.
“If any residents which to be tested for Covid-19, they can visit local hospitals or Rayong’s public health offices, so samples are not mixed up,” the staff member said.
