Minister Juti Krairiksh urged officials to evaluate the damages and provide assistance immediately, especially to vulnerable people such as children, the physically challenged and the aged.
Floods brought on by the Sinlaku storm have hit 13 provinces since August 1. Eight of these provinces are in the North, namely Nan, Uttaradit, Lampang, Phayao, Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Phrae and Phitsanulok, while the remainder are in the Northeast, namely Loei, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Nakhon Phanom and Kalasin.
