Ministry offers office units

The Construction Ministry is offering to sell or rent at least 24 units located in Shwelinban Housing, Hlinethaya Township, Yangon to political parties to use as their offices, according to the Union Election Commission.
The four-storey building has a total of 24 units. A unit will cost between Ks11-Ks12.5 million. The rental fee will be Ks40,000 per month for a unit. Any political party can apply through the commission for renting or purchasing a unit.
“There are a total of 71 political parties. The ministry has 24 units. We will use a random system (luck of draw) because we don’t have enough units for all 71 parties,” said Ko Ko, chairman for the Yangon Region Election Sub-commission.
