BES is to organise Food & Hotel Myanmar and ProPak Myanmar in Yangon from June 3-5 and June 24-26 respectively. Propak Myanmar, launched last year, will showcase potential for the processing and packaging industries in food, beverage and pharmaceutical sectors, while Food & Hotel Myanmar will focus on the food and beverage as well as hotel industry.
BES General Mananger Justin Pau said that Myanmar has a clear policy to welcome foreign investors and the country has geared up its developments in all aspects to attract the investors from around the world. The country’s abundant natural resource makes it one of the most favourable investment destinations especially in manufacturing and tourism industries, he said.
“In addition, we as a member of An Allworld Exhibitions Event, has a policy to expand our exhibition organising business into Asean member countries in order to cash in on the implementation of AEC (Asean Economic Community). Apart from Thailand and Myanmar, we are eyeing to venture into Laos and Cambodia,” said Pau.
The opportunities are huge, he said. The abundant natural resources make Myanmar a suitable site for manufacturing plants. Meanwhile, Myanmar is also an exciting new tourism destination. The high number of hotels is believed to draw huge attention to the Food & Hotel Maynmar exhibition, the first of its kind in the country.
BES is among the first companies who made an inroad to Myanmar exhibition industry.
So far, the company has received 90 per cent booking for the exhibition booths. Each event will have an exhibition area of 6,000 square metres.
Last year, the company recorded over 10,000 visitors for ProPak exhibition, where exhibitors from 27 countries showcased their products. Transactions in the year were worth Bt6.5 billion.
It expects the number of visitors to rise by 10 per cent this year.
